“The Foundations Center of Maplewood and South Orange, (the “Center”), seeks to empower the youth our our community and enhance their sense of self and belonging through dynamic programming.  The Center’s unique approach  encourages creative self-expression through the illustration of the practical importance of academic skills such as literacy and arithmetic and the related application to digital media productions.

The Center will apply an “inquiry-based learning” approach whereby the Center’s Scholars will participate in the planning, development and evaluation of their media projects under the guidance of the Center’s facilitators.
